Hey there!

It's been a while again, sorry for my lack of activity. I check dA everyday, often multiple times per day, but my schedule at the moment makes it pretty difficult for me to create anything good enough for submission. I'm hoping to work a little more art into my everyday life, so hopefully I can crawl out from under my rock ;).

However the main point of this journal is a recent notification that caught my eye. dA have just introduced a feature that allows you to sell your art- for example, adding a small fee to download a comic. Seems like an awesome feature to me, but what do you guys think? Is adding a small fee a good way to make money that viewers will be happy to be a part of, or will it be a lengthy and unnecessary hassle that will reduce the number of people willing to follow your comic?

I have been planning a graphic novel for over a year now (there are a couple of pictures in my gallery but behind the scenes are a tonne of dodgy sketches and pages of storyline!) and I have been torn between keeping it off of the internet and contacting publishers, or posting it on my deviantart in installments. A choice between making money or earning fans. Adding a pay-to-view, even just 5p a page, would be enough to bring a little income in without making it completely inaccessible.

So what are your views? What do you think about the new premium content feature?
